TX2K Day 1 From 1320Video: 200mph races, Kyle’s FIRST R8 passes, & MORE!

TX2K Day 1 From 1320Video: 200mph races, Kyle’s FIRST R8 passes, & MORE!

TX2K is a huge event nowadays, but I remember the early days when almost all of the coverage you’d see from the event was coming from 1320Video and most people hadn’t even heard of it. It’s one of Kyle’s favorite events of the year, and with good reason as they helped so much to make it the monster event that it is today. But I know that Kyle’s favorite thing about going to TX2K in 2021 was getting to roll race his newly finished twin turbo R8, because not only did the car look great and put a big smile on his face, but it also kicked ass at the event. It was cool to see just how well he did with it, and we’re super thankful for all the cool coverage he and the boys put together for this year.

Watch the video below and we’ll bring you the rest of them over the next couple of days.

In this first video you are going to see 200mph runs, Kyle Roll Racing his R8, and so much more. Enjoy.

Watch The American Door Slammer Nationals LIVE Right Here!

Watch The American Door Slammer Nationals LIVE Right Here!

I’ve driven dragsters, but my first love are door cars. They are fun, can be as quick as you want to go, and they just feel right. I do like the occasional roadster as well, but prefer those with the driver on one side or the other instead of sitting in the middle like a funny car or altered. Good thing for me that the American Door Slammer Nationals are LIVE this weekend thanks to our friends at MotorManiaTV. Any door car. Any left hand drive roadster. Any reason to have fun. This is a must watch event that you won’t want to miss this weekend.

Held at the famed Piedmont Dragway, this Loose Rocker Promotions event is one of the highlights of 2020. During a year where we have all been cooped up and have had so many cancelled events, this is one of those that feels really good to see happening before we get into the final weekends of racing for 2020. This is going to be a year to remember for sure, and whoever wins this event is going to remember it because of the real money they got to put into their pocket.

Watch all the racing LIVE today and tomorrow right here. And thanks again to MotorManiaTV for sharing this great action with the world for FREE!

2020 FE Race And Reunion Gallery: From Run Of The Mill To Overkill

2020 FE Race And Reunion Gallery: From Run Of The Mill To Overkill

(Photos: Joe Grippo) At the small end, they were a 330-cubic inch truck motor. At the far end, you have some of Ford’s finest hours, the 427, the Cammer and the 428. You could’ve had one in the lowest-rent Edsel you could find or you could’ve ponied up the dough at the counter of your nearest dealership by ordering C6AE-6007-359J for $2,350. Whether you had a work truck that was plugging along with the old reliable 390 or you had an R-code Fairlane or Shelby’s wicked-tune Cobra. the Ford FE mill was one for the history books. Originally designed for Ford and Edsel applications, the modified Y-block design was the engine that Ford went to war with. They fought Chrysler for NASCAR superiority. They fought anybody who dared try on dragstrips. They went sports car racing with the Cobra, and when Hank the Deuce saw red mist, it was the weapon he used against the Italians at their own game.

The last FE was put into a production vehicle in 1976. After that, it was big-block Limas and small-blocks until 1998, when the Mod Motor and the Triton V10 took over.  Our man Joe Grippo was swimming in a sea of like-mided folk as he roamed Beaver Springs Dragway for the 2020 FE Race and Reunion, and he brought back plenty of photos to share of his trip. SDBA Drag Boat Races Will Be LIVE Here On BANGshift Starting Sunday Morning!

SDBA Drag Boat Races Will Be LIVE Here On BANGshift Starting Sunday Morning!

That’s right folks, we’ve got more Southern Drag Boat Association racing coming to you live right here at BANGshift.com. We were live Saturday morning and will be live again Sunday morning around 9 am Central Time. We had an awesome time bringing you their Paris Texas event a few months ago and are happy to announce that their El Reno Oklahoma event this Saturday and Sunday will be LIVE in it’s entirety right here! We cannot stress enough just how cool it is to watch the drag boats hauling ass across the water. We’re talking 3 second 1/8 mile boats, and all kinds of combinations. Hydros, Jets, Flat bottoms, Pro Mods, Super Stock, and so much more. The racing action is fun, the scenery is cool, and the people are an absolute riot.

When we did the event in Paris, the welcome that we got from everyone at the SDBA, and the racers in general, was absolutely amazing. They treated us like family, fed us, welcomed us with open arms, and were so genuinely thrilled to have us on site that most were acting like kids in a candy store.

This weekend is supposed to be in the low 80’s, with great conditions for racing on the water, and I’m looking forward to seeing what kind of record breaking runs we might see. Tune in Saturday morning, at 8 am Central, as we kick off the racing action. You won’t want to miss it.

1320 Video’s Coverage From Rocky Mountain Race Week 2020 2.0 Starts Here!

1320 Video’s Coverage From Rocky Mountain Race Week 2020 2.0 Starts Here!

2020 has been one hell of a strange one, with events cancelled, quarantine’s happening, and people being ordered to stay at home. But thanks to the determination and fortitude of a few drag racers in Colorado, the only drive and drag event of 2020 happened not just once, but twice. We are of course talking about 1320Video Rocky Mountain Race Week, which is by far the best one ever conceived. Don’t get me wrong, we dig Drag Week and Mid-West Drags, but RMRW is where it is at. When Matt Frost announced that RMRW 2020 was in fact happening, and we all met in Colorado for a great week of road tripping and drag racing, there were many that thought it was amazing that he was able to pull it off. And we all understand why. But RMRW 2020 did happen, was epic, and went off smooth as silk. So when Hot Rod Magazine announced that Drag Week 2020 wouldn’t be happening, Matt jumped in to offer an event for those guys and gals that had already taken time off work and were ready for some racing vacation.

Just days after Drag Week was cancelled, Rocky Mountain Race Week 2020 2.0 was announced to be happening the same week and would be starting and ending in Tulsa with stops at Heartland Park Topeka, Thunder Valley Oklahoma, and SRCA in Great Bend Kansas. We streamed the every minute of racing action live, and then the guys at 1320Video made sure that all the on road and dramatic moments were caught so you could enjoy them. This was one epic adventure, and here are the 1320Video Daily Updates for the entire event.

The 2nd Annual Working Man’s Ten Grand Race Is On And LIVE Right Now! $10,000 To Win Saturday

The 2nd Annual Working Man’s Ten Grand Race Is On And LIVE Right Now! $10,000 To Win Saturday

The Working Man’s Ten Grand is a great drag racing event. In it’s second year, this event has been moved to Kil-Kare Raceway just outside of Dayton, Ohio and is drawing the best and the brightest this weekend to see who can throw down and take home today’s $10,000 winner’s prize. In a time when a few races a year have hundreds of thousands, or even millions of dollars on the line, the $10,000 to $50,000 bracket races sometimes don’t grab the public’s attention as much, but $10,000 is no chump change. I remember when the biggest hitters in the bracket racing world first started making over $100,000 per year by winning $10,000 – $25,000 races throughout the year. You have to remember, that in the bracket racing world it is a crap shoot as to whether or not the pot gets split and when. Some guys may split with 8 cars left and the winner only get’s $5,000 or something. There is a lot going on besides all the talent and action on the race track and that makes it interesting that’s for sure.

Thanks to our friends at MotorManiaTV, we have great coverage coming to you all day from Kil-Kare, so if you are in the mood for some good drag racing, here it is. Door cars are my favorite, and there are great varieties running here this weekend, so stay tuned in and watch.
